From The Town it's one freeway — I-880 south from downtown, Fruitvale, or the Hills to the Mowry Avenue exit, usually 25 to 40 minutes to our Fremont office. No bridge, no transfer, no hunting for a hospital garage. Just a clean run to a practice that does implants and nothing else.
Oakland has excellent dentists from Rockridge to Lake Merritt. Implant surgery is a different specialty, though, and when a case turns to a full arch, serious bone loss, or an implant that failed somewhere else, patients want owner-surgeons who take those cases head-on. Is getting there from Oakland a hassle?
It's one freeway, no bridge: I-880 south from downtown, Jack London, or the Hills, about thirty minutes. Most Oakland patients find it simpler than crossing to San Francisco — and the drive ends at an implant-exclusive practice with its own milling lab.
When should I schedule to miss the 880 traffic?
Mid-morning and early afternoon are the kind hours, and we're open Monday–Friday, 9:00 AM–7:30 PM, and Saturday, 9:00 AM–6:00 PM, with Sunday visits by appointment, so there's room to plan around the commute crush in both directions. Tell us you're coming from Oakland when you book and we'll time your visits with the traffic in mind.
Do you work with my PPO plan?
Yes — all PPO dental plans, with your benefits verified in writing before you decide anything and the claim paperwork handled for you. Medicaid, Medi-Cal, Medicare, and HMO plans can't be accepted for implant procedures; our financing options exist for exactly that gap.
I've been told my bone loss is too severe. Do I have options?
Very possibly — severe bone loss is a complex problem we regularly evaluate, not an automatic reason to stop. Zygomatic implants anchor in the dense cheekbone when the upper jaw can't hold standard implants, and grafting rebuilds sites that can be rebuilt. The free CBCT scan gives you a case-specific answer instead of another assumption.
