Read the fine print on any implant "lifetime warranty" and ask two questions. What exactly does it cover — the titanium post, the teeth on top, the repairs in between? And who has to honor it — the doctor who placed your implant, or whoever happens to be on duty years later? A warranty that answers the first question but not the second is a phone number, not a promise.
Our version is smaller and much harder to fake. The two doctors who plan, place, and build your teeth — Dr. Sam Jain and Dr. Arpana Gupta — are the same two people who see you for your checkups, your bite checks, your adjustments, and the 9 p.m. call when something feels off. Same doctors. Same building on the same street in Fremont. Since 2008. That continuity is what makes a warranty worth having; the written terms in your treatment plan say exactly what it covers.
Below is how our warranty works, in plain language — why its terms follow the materials you choose, and just as importantly, what it doesn't cover, because an honest guarantee tells you where your responsibility begins. An implant is a partnership. We engineer it to last; you keep it clean and let us look at it. Do both, and there is no reason it shouldn't outlast this conversation by decades.

Start with the implant itself. A dental implant is a titanium post that fuses to your jawbone, and modern implants fuse successfully at rates commonly reported around 95%. Implant systems differ, though — in design, in track record, and in what their manufacturers stand behind — so what happens in the rare case one doesn't integrate is part of the written terms for the system in your plan, not a blanket promise made before anyone has seen your scan.
Then there are the teeth on top, and here the material matters most. Zirconia, PMMA acrylic and other restorations wear differently and last differently, so each carries its own terms. What doesn't change is where the work happens: because we run our own in-house CAD/CAM zirconia mill — with engineer Andy Jain machining every case — a chipped surface, a worn spot, or a bite that has drifted doesn't mean waiting three weeks on an outside lab. Your digital design is on file, and we can re-mill or refine your teeth here, on the same equipment that made them. Your warranty terms are written into your customized treatment plan before you commit, beside the materials they cover.
And then the part no card covers: access to the surgeons. For the life of your implant, the doctors who did the work are here for your checkups, your hygiene visits, your worries, and your emergencies — booked and billed as regular appointments, with the people who know your case. We also routinely rescue failed implants placed at other offices — which tells you how we handle our own. If we'll take on someone else's hard case, we're certainly not going to leave you holding one of ours.

An implant is engineered like a small structural project — Dr. Jain plans bite force, angles, and torque the way an engineer plans a load-bearing joint — but no engineering survives neglect. The implant lives in your mouth, and your mouth is your responsibility between visits. Skipped cleanings, uncontrolled gum disease, heavy unmanaged grinding, and tobacco are the things that undo good work, and no guarantee on earth can write around biology.
So the boundary is simple and fair. Your written terms say what we back for the implant and restoration you chose. You keep it clean — brush, a water flosser under a full-arch bridge, and the professional cleanings we schedule. You come to your checkups so we catch a loose screw before it becomes a cracked tooth. You tell us if you clench, so we can protect your investment with a night guard. Do that, and the repairs your terms cover are genuinely ours to carry.
What voids the honest version of a warranty isn't a technicality — it's disappearing. The patients who get thirty years out of an implant are the ones we actually see. So the most important thing you can do to protect your teeth is keep the relationship alive: show up, and follow the post-op instructions in the early weeks when fusion is happening. The rest is written into your treatment plan, so you know before treatment starts what your warranty covers.

What does your implant warranty actually cover?
It depends on what you choose, and that is deliberate. Implant systems and restoration materials — zirconia, PMMA acrylic, porcelain and others — have different expected lifespans and different manufacturer backing, so one blanket promise would overstate some and understate others. Your warranty terms are set out in your customized treatment plan at the consultation, beside the materials they apply to. Whatever the material, repairs happen here: we mill restorations in-house, so chips, wear, loosened screws, and bite adjustments are handled by the team that made your teeth rather than shipped to an outside lab. Cleanings and routine checkups are regular appointments, billed as such — they are not part of the warranty.

What happens if a screw loosens or a tooth chips years later?
You call us, and we handle it — usually quickly, because everything is under one roof. A loosened screw is a retighten. A chip or a worn surface is a repair or a re-mill on the same in-house equipment that made your teeth, with your digital design already on file. Bite drift as your face ages is an adjustment. These are normal maintenance events over a lifetime of use, not failures. Which repairs your warranty covers, and for how long, is written into your treatment plan, so you know in advance rather than on the day.
Can you honor a warranty on an implant placed at another office?
We can't warranty another surgeon's placement — we didn't plan it or do it. But we take on those cases all the time.
