Is the Sunol Grade as bad as it sounds?
Rarely, outside commute peaks. I-680 south over the grade, off at Mission Boulevard — 25 to 35 minutes in normal traffic, and mid-morning or early-afternoon appointments miss the worst of it. Tell us when you book and we will schedule around the direction you are driving.
I want the whole arch done. How many trips is that really?
Fewer than most people brace for. The consultation, 3D scan, and written plan happen in one appointment. Surgery is its own day, and full-arch patients typically receive final custom-milled teeth about 72 hours later. Every required trip is mapped before you commit — in writing, not verbally.
Will my insurance help with a full arch?
Partly, if you have a PPO. We work with all PPO plans, are in-network with many, and file the claims for you — but most plans cap annual benefits at a set maximum, which is a real contribution on an arch rather than a solution. Financing usually covers the balance, and the estimate shows both together.
I'd rather not be awake for it.
You don't have to be. Oral and IV sedation are given and monitored by our own ACLS-certified doctors, tailored to your health and medications rather than a standard dose. You will need a driver home — over the grade, that is worth arranging in advance.
