Published California ranges (September 2026) put a bone graft at $200–$3,500 per site and a sinus lift at $1,500–$5,000 per side; the scan says whether you need either, and often an angled placement or a zygomatic implant avoids the wait. A denture on implants, two or more implants holding a removable denture, is the lower-cost route to a denture that stops moving; the implant-supported dentures page compares it with a fixed arch.
Paying for it without insurance

Which way to drive
Our San Francisco office on Geary Boulevard serves East Palo Alto by US-101 north, I-280 to 19th Avenue and east on Geary, forty to fifty-five minutes; our Fremont office is also reachable over the Dumbarton Bridge on CA-84 to I-880. Both are complete implant centers with the same two owner-surgeons, so we confirm the better routing when you book. You are welcome to bring someone, and sedation visits are scheduled so that nobody drives home alone.

How long is the drive from East Palo Alto?

What if I do not have dental insurance at all?

Do you take Medi-Cal?
Not for implant procedures, and not Medicare or HMO plans either — we work with PPO plans. That is a straight answer rather than a runaround, and if financing is the practical route we will show you what it looks like in writing at the same visit rather than sending you away to find out.
Can I bring someone with me?
Please do. A second set of ears helps with the details, the questions you would forget to ask, and the money conversation. If family lives far away they can join by phone or video while the doctor goes through the scan and the written plan. The decision stays yours; the understanding can be shared.

I recently visited Center for Implant Dentistry after developing an infection around a crowned tooth. My regular dentist wasn't able to treat the problem and referred me to a specialist. A friend who had undergone a bone graft procedure there about a year ago recommended this facility, so I decided to schedule a free consultation. From the moment I arrived, I had a great experience. I met Neel, a very knowledgeable and friendly young gentleman who was easy to talk to. He explained the types of procedures they perform and how they specialize in dental implants and complex dental cases. After asking about my concerns, he quickly took some pictures using their advanced technology. Just a few minutes later, I met Dr. Jain. He took the time to discuss my dental problem and thoroughly explained the recommended treatment plan in a way that was simple and easy to understand. I really appreciated how clearly he explained everything and made sure I understood my options. Then came the biggest surprise! Dr. Jain asked if I wanted to proceed with the treatment that same day. I was shocked because I had only come in for a consultation! Since I was already off work, I decided to take care of the problem right away. Dr. Jain extracted my infected tooth, cleaned out the infection, and placed the implant--all in the same visit! I never expected to have everything done that day, but I was grateful that they were able to address the problem so quickly. I also found the cost reasonable, considering the complexity of the procedure and how quickly they were able to take care of my situation. They accepted my dental insurance and FSA, which helped save me a significant amount of money. Neel provided a detailed treatment plan and explained the costs, including what my insurance would cover. I really appreciated the transparency and the time he took to help me understand the financial side of my treatment. Because it was getting late, they weren't able to finish my temporary crown that day, so I had to return the following day to have it completed. Overall, I'm very grateful for the care I received at Center for Implant Dentistry. From Neel's excellent communication and helpful guidance to Dr. Jain's thorough explanation and treatment, the entire experience was reassuring and efficient. Kudos to all their staff . Very friendly and professional . I highly recommend this facility to anyone who needs specialized dental care or dental implants.
