We Turned Down Everything Else On Purpose
You wouldn't ask your family doctor to replace a heart valve. He might know the anatomy cold and still be the wrong person to hold the scalpel — because the surgeon down the hall does that operation four times a week, and repetition is its own kind of skill. Dental implants are surgery. Yet most implants in America are placed by general dentists who also do fillings, crowns, root canals, whitening, and a few implants on the side.
We made a different choice. At Center for Implant Dentistry, there are no routine checkups, no fillings, no veneers. We replace missing teeth with implants — that is the entire practice. Dr. Sam Jain and Dr. Arpana Gupta plan, place, and restore every case themselves, and have since 2008. More than 15,000 patients later, this is the only thing we do, which is exactly why we do it well.
This page isn't a sales pitch with a comparison chart. It's the belief the whole center is built on: that mastery comes from focus, and that the person replacing your teeth should have done it thousands of times, not dozens. The Engineer-Surgeon And A Lab A Generalist Can't Keep
The Engineer-Surgeon
Focus lets you build things a part-time implant office never could. Dr. Jain came to dentistry from mechanical engineering — a DMD stacked on a master's in engineering — and he treats a jaw like what it is: a load-bearing structure that has to survive decades of bite force. He invented the All-on-8 Robust protocol for exactly that reason, because four implants and a long cantilever behave like a lever on your screws. That's not a marketing idea. It's statics.
A generalist can refer your scan to an outside lab and wait two weeks for teeth. We can't afford to, and we don't. Our own CAD/CAM zirconia mill sits down the hall, run by our engineer Andy Jain, so your final teeth are designed, milled, and fitted here — often within about 24 hours for single or multiple implants, and about 72 hours for a full arch. When the bite needs adjusting, the machinist who made the tooth is fifty feet away, not fifty miles.
This is the part that doesn't transfer. You can buy a CBCT scanner. You cannot buy nearly two decades of doing one operation, an engineer's read on force and failure, and a full manufacturing lab under one roof — not as a sideline. The Honesty
The Honesty To Tell You No
The quiet advantage of doing only implants is that we have no reason to sell you one you don't need. A general office that does a little of everything can always find something to do in your mouth. We can't, and we don't want to. If an implant is wrong for you today — the bone isn't ready, the timing is off, a tooth can still be saved — we say so, and sometimes we send you back to your own dentist.
That honesty was there before the practice was. In 2001, Dr. Jain and Dr. Gupta ran the only clinic for uninsured patients in rural Franklin County, Massachusetts, and were given a Health Leadership Award for it. The instinct to do right by the person in the chair predates the zirconia mill by two decades. It's why our hardest cases are often people fixing implants placed quickly and cheaply somewhere else.

Only Implants? Yes — And Here Is Why That Matters
Isn't a general dentist who does implants cheaper or more convenient?
Sometimes on paper. But a generalist places a handful of implants a year between fillings and cleanings, sends your teeth to an outside lab, and refers out anything complicated. We place implants all day, mill your final teeth in our own lab in about 24 hours, and handle the hard cases in-house. You're paying for repetition and control — with every cost itemized in writing at your free consultation, and roughly 92% of full-arch patients choose to finance.
If you only do implants, who handles my regular dental care?
Your general dentist, and we're glad to work alongside them. We aren't a general-dentistry office — no routine checkups, fillings, or cleanings as your primary dental care; you keep seeing your own dentist for those. Our lane is replacing missing or failing teeth with implants, plus the work that orbits it: extractions on the way to implants, grafting, crowns from our own mill, and lifetime maintenance of the implant work we place — including implant-maintenance cleanings for our own patients. Specialization means we stay in that lane and go deep in it.
Do you really place every implant yourselves, or is there a visiting surgeon?
Every case is planned, placed, and restored by Dr. Sam Jain (DMD, MS Engineering, ICOI Master) and Dr. Arpana Gupta (DDS, MDS endodontics, ICOI Master), the two owner-surgeons. No fly-in surgeon who operates and leaves. The doctor who examines you is the doctor who does your surgery and every follow-up — same office, same family, since 2008. CA licenses #50472 and #50467.
What if I've been told I have no bone or that I'm not a candidate?
That's exactly the case we're built for. When bone is severely deficient, we place zygomatic implants that anchor into the cheekbone, so patients told 'no bone, no implants' elsewhere get fixed teeth here. How fast can I actually get teeth if implants only is your whole focus?
