From most of town it's under an hour to our Fremont office — and for many qualifying single- and multiple-implant cases, that's a single trip that ends with permanent teeth, not a temporary.
The reason Scotts Valley patients make the run isn't distance, it's what's at the other end. Our practice does implants and nothing else: free 3D CBCT planning, guided surgery with X-Guide and Navident navigation, IV sedation, and an in-house CAD/CAM lab that mills final zirconia teeth on-site. A full arch is finished in about 72 hours rather than dragged across most of a year.
When a case is hard — no bone, a failing full arch, an implant placed elsewhere that never took — that's the work we take on purpose. Zygomatic implants and failed-implant rescues are routine here, planned and performed by the owner-surgeons, Dr. Sam Jain and Dr. Arpana Gupta, who both hold ICOI Master status and personally restore every case. How long from Scotts Valley?
Highway 17 north over the summit, becoming I-880 at San Jose, into Fremont — about 50 to 65 minutes, and the shortest of the Santa Cruz County runs. Appointments outside commute hours make the hill considerably more predictable.
I have been quoted very differently by two practices.
Usually they are not quoting the same treatment — implant counts, materials, whether grafting and sedation are included. Bring both written quotes and we will go through them item by item, then hand you ours itemized the same way so the comparison actually means something.
Am I likely to need a graft?
The scan answers it rather than a guess. Bone loss follows missing teeth as a matter of course — the jaw can lose roughly half its ridge width in the first year — but it is workable. Grafting, angled placement, and zygomatic implants each solve a different version of the problem.
How is the money handled?
Every cost itemized in writing before you commit. PPO benefits are verified in writing and claimed for you where they exist, with most plans capping annual benefits near $1,000 to $2,000. For the balance, four lenders are compared and prequalifying does not affect your credit score.
