  • Full-Mouth Dental Implant Patient

An extreme fear of the dentist

Upper and lower All-on-4, with expectations set plainly before surgery. Nearly two years on, they say the embarrassment is gone and the result was worth it.

  • Dental Implant Patient

Failing veneers, and finally being heard

Earlier providers left her feeling judged. Here she used the 3D design to have a say in the size and shape of her new teeth, and rates the result ten out of ten.

The Coast Is Worth The Trade-Off. So Is The Drive For This.

Living on the Coastside means accepting that some things require a drive over the hill — and specialty dental care is one of them. From Half Moon Bay you've got two honest options to our Geary Boulevard office: CA-92 over the ridge to I-280 north, or CA-1 up the coast through Pacifica and the Devil's Slide tunnels. Either runs about fifty minutes, and Coastsiders make that call every day.

A real patient at the practice. Individual results vary.

The payoff for the drive is a practice that does one thing: dental implants, since 2008, with the two owner-surgeons planning and placing every case. Dr. Sam Jain and Dr. Arpana Gupta take the work that gets turned away elsewhere — 'no bone' cases needing zygomatic implants, bone grafting, and failed implants that need rescuing. For a community that already drives for the specialist, that's the point.

And because there's a milling lab in the building, the drive doesn't multiply. Andy Jain mills final teeth on-site, so many qualifying single and multiple implant cases get permanent teeth in about a day — not a series of coast-to-city round trips over months. The first visit, with a free 3D CBCT scan, maps out exactly how many trips your case needs. Book the free consultation and we’ll plan the logistics with you, mile by mile.

Implant treatment for Half Moon Bay

Made Once, Not A Season Of Trips

The treatments, planned so the hill is crossed as few times as the scan allows.

Grouped trips

Scan and plan on trip one; surgery on trip two with fixed teeth the same day for qualifying patients; the permanent crown in as little as 24 hours or the final arch in about 72 hours, from the single tooth page to the All-on-4 page.

Sedation with a companion

IV sedation visits scheduled with a driver for CA-92.

The harder cases

Grafts, zygomatic implants, our All-on-8 Robust design, rescue.

From Half Moon Bay

The Coast Is Worth The Trade-Off. So Is The Drive For This.

Half Moon Bay's own search, the best dental implants in Half Moon Bay, already sits on page one, and the questions under it are Coastside questions: how long over the hill, whether sedation and CA-92 mix, whether the trips can be grouped, whether it will be worth it. The Geary Boulevard office is forty-five to sixty minutes by either road.

Grouped into fewer trips

The free consultation and 3D CBCT scan are one trip and produce the plan, the trip count and the written number. Where the scan allows, an extraction and an immediate implant share the surgical trip, and for qualifying patients the permanent crown follows in as little as 24 hours or the final full-arch set in about 72 hours, from the lab in the Fremont building. The trip count is in the plan before you commit.

Sedation and the drive back over 92

IV sedation is available, and a sedated patient cannot drive the hill, so sedation visits are scheduled with a companion for the ride home or planned without sedation. We settle it at booking, not on the day.

Worth the drive

Two owner-surgeons who examine, place and follow up themselves, the lab in the practice's own building, and a free first visit that costs you the drive and nothing else: if the scan says you are not a candidate for any route, you leave knowing why. All-on-4 is a fixed $14,999 arch with every inclusion written out; our All-on-8 Robust design goes to eight implants; a single tooth implant runs about $3,500–$7,500 with its crown in published California ranges (September 2026).

Over the hill, or up the coast

From downtown and Ocean Colony, CA-92 east over the ridge to I-280 north and 19th Avenue to Geary takes forty-five to sixty minutes; from El Granada and Miramar, CA-1 north through the Devil's Slide tunnels, about the same. Employer PPO plans are verified in writing, financing across four lenders is compared with a soft-check pre-qualification, and the consultation and scan are free (a $499 value).

Worth The Drive, In Writing

The ranges and the fee

Published California ranges (September 2026): an implant with its crown about $3,500–$7,500, a fixed arch $20,000–$35,000 per jaw. Our All-on-4 arch is a fixed $14,999 with every inclusion written out; the consultation and scan are free (a $499 value).

Plans and lenders

Employer PPO plans verified in writing; HMO and Medi-Cal cannot be accepted for implants; financing across four lenders with a soft-check pre-qualification.

The Questions We HearMost Often From Half Moon Bay

Coming over the hill from Half Moon Bay — how long?

CA-92 east over the hill to I-280 north, then the 19th Avenue corridor to Geary — 45 to 60 minutes in normal traffic, and worse when the coast fog stacks up the highway. We plan coastside patients as few visits: consultation, scan, and written plan in one appointment.

If I am sedated, is the drive back over CA-92 an issue?

Only if you come alone. Oral and IV sedation both require someone to drive you home, and the hill does not change that rule. Local anesthesia by itself needs no driver. Your doctor confirms which applies at the free consultation, so the ride can be arranged well before the day.

Can treatment be grouped into fewer trips?

That is exactly how we schedule from the coast. Qualifying single- and multiple-implant cases can have surgery and receive permanent custom-milled teeth on the same visit; full-arch patients typically return about 72 hours after surgery for final teeth. Every required trip is written into the plan before you agree to it.

How do I know it will be worth the drive?

You do not, until someone has seen your bone — which is why the first visit costs nothing. You get an exam, a 3D CBCT scan, an honest read, and a written plan. If the answer is that we cannot help, you will hear it on that trip rather than after three more.

I recently visited Center for Implant Dentistry after developing an infection around a crowned tooth. My regular dentist wasn't able to treat the problem and referred me to a specialist. A friend who had undergone a bone graft procedure there about a year ago recommended this facility, so I decided to schedule a free consultation. From the moment I arrived, I had a great experience. I met Neel, a very knowledgeable and friendly young gentleman who was easy to talk to. He explained the types of procedures they perform and how they specialize in dental implants and complex dental cases. After asking about my concerns, he quickly took some pictures using their advanced technology. Just a few minutes later, I met Dr. Jain. He took the time to discuss my dental problem and thoroughly explained the recommended treatment plan in a way that was simple and easy to understand. I really appreciated how clearly he explained everything and made sure I understood my options. Then came the biggest surprise! Dr. Jain asked if I wanted to proceed with the treatment that same day. I was shocked because I had only come in for a consultation! Since I was already off work, I decided to take care of the problem right away. Dr. Jain extracted my infected tooth, cleaned out the infection, and placed the implant--all in the same visit! I never expected to have everything done that day, but I was grateful that they were able to address the problem so quickly. I also found the cost reasonable, considering the complexity of the procedure and how quickly they were able to take care of my situation. They accepted my dental insurance and FSA, which helped save me a significant amount of money. Neel provided a detailed treatment plan and explained the costs, including what my insurance would cover. I really appreciated the transparency and the time he took to help me understand the financial side of my treatment. Because it was getting late, they weren't able to finish my temporary crown that day, so I had to return the following day to have it completed. Overall, I'm very grateful for the care I received at Center for Implant Dentistry. From Neel's excellent communication and helpful guidance to Dr. Jain's thorough explanation and treatment, the entire experience was reassuring and efficient. Kudos to all their staff . Very friendly and professional . I highly recommend this facility to anyone who needs specialized dental care or dental implants. They made what could have been a very stressful experience much easier than I expected!
