Paras Jain Doctor of Dental Surgery Candidate
There are two ways to learn what excellent dentistry looks like. One is dental school. The other is watching your parents practice it — every day, for your entire life. Paras Jain is doing both.
The son of Dr. Sam Jain and Dr. Arpana Gupta, Paras is pursuing his Doctor of Dental Surgery degree at the University of the Pacific, Arthur A. Dugoni School of Dentistry in San Francisco.
He is developing the clinical, technical, and patient-centered skills of a practice that has never treated any of the three as optional.
Learning The Standard From The Inside
Paras grew up in a household where the dinner-table shorthand included bite forces and bone density — where his father approached implants as a mechanical engineer, his mother as a former professor of endodontics, and both as people who once ran a federally funded clinic for uninsured patients in a rural Massachusetts county.
Inspired by that legacy in advanced implant dentistry, he chose the Arthur A. Dugoni School of Dentistry — a San Francisco institution respected for shaping clinicians who are as humane as they are technically exact.
What he's building there — clinical judgment, technical skill, and a patient-first reflex — is the same foundation this practice was built on. The name on the door already fits; the training will earn it.
