Some people discover dentistry in a classroom. Gauri Jain grew up inside it — the daughter of two implant dentists who built a practice, an in-house lab, and a patient base that still greets them by name.
Today she is pursuing her Doctor of Dental Surgery degree at the University of the Pacific, Arthur A. Dugoni School of Dentistry in San Francisco — carrying a family standard into its second generation.
What she inherits isn't just a profession. It's a particular way of practicing it: unhurried, precise, and personal.
Raised Inside The Practice
Gauri is the daughter of Dr. Sam Jain and Dr. Arpana Gupta — which means her earliest impressions of dentistry weren't marketing brochures, but reality: parents who founded a federally funded clinic for uninsured families in rural Massachusetts, who treat implant dentistry as engineering, and who still greet decades-long patients by name.
That upbringing shows in the path she's chosen. She is now in the clinical years of her DDS at the Arthur A. Dugoni School of Dentistry in San Francisco — the same city as the practice's Geary Boulevard office.
The practical point for patients: this practice's future is being trained for it, deliberately, from the inside.
