Meet The Family Behind Your New Smile
Dr. Sambhav (Sam) Jain, DMD, MS
Dr. Jain’s path to dentistry began in engineering. After earning a master’s in mechanical engineering from the University of Connecticut in 1995, he realized his calling was helping people out of pain — and returned to school for his dental degree. That rare combination — a DMD and a master’s in mechanical engineering — now defines his work. He plans every case the way an engineer designs a structure: bite forces, angles, torque and bone support, all calculated to hold up for decades — not just to look right on surgery day.
A Master of the International Congress of Oral Implantologists, the world’s largest implant organization, Dr. Jain built the practice’s in-house CAD/CAM milling center, the reason patients here receive final, custom-milled teeth in days instead of months — a workflow most offices still send out to third-party labs. He trained in IV sedation at the Medical College of Georgia, holds ACLS certification from the American Heart Association, and earned Franklin County’s Health Leadership Award for his years of care for underserved patients as a community dental director in Massachusetts.

Are dental implants painful?
Far less than most people fear. Your procedure is done under local anesthesia, with IV and oral sedation available, so you feel little to nothing while it happens. Most patients tell us recovery was easier than expected — mild soreness or swelling that over-the-counter or prescribed medication handles well, usually settling within three to five days.
How long do dental implants last?
The implant itself is a titanium post that fuses with your jawbone, and with good oral hygiene and regular check-ups it can last for decades — often a lifetime. The crown, bridge, or fixed arch attached to it may need maintenance or replacement after many years of everyday wear, much like anything you use every single day.
I was told I don't have enough bone or that I'm not a candidate. Can you still help?
Very often, yes — this is exactly the kind of case we're known for. Long-term denture wear and missing teeth shrink the jawbone, but techniques such as bone grafting, sinus lifts, angled All-on-4 placement, and zygomatic implants (anchored in the dense cheekbone) let many people move forward after being turned away elsewhere. What is the success rate of dental implants?
