사진 두 장은 누구나 올릴 수 있습니다. 두 사진 사이에 무엇이 달라졌는지 알아야 치료를 제대로 판단할 수 있습니다. 저희 치과든 다른 곳이든 마찬가지입니다. 어느 치과에 미소를 맡기기 전에 꼭 살펴볼 세 군데를 알려 드립니다.

치아보다 입술을 먼저 보세요

치아 하나하나를 보기 전에 얼굴 아래쪽 3분의 1을 먼저 보세요. 치아가 빠지고 뼈가 줄면 입술이 안으로 말려 들어가고, 턱끝이 코 쪽으로 올라붙습니다. 치료 후 사진에서 입술이 다시 기댈 곳을 찾은 모습을 보세요. 그 받침을 만드는 것은 임플란트와 새 치아입니다. 틀니 접착제로는 할 수 없는 구조적인 역할입니다.

잇몸선을 따라가 보세요

분홍색과 흰색이 만나는 곳은 치과 치료에서 가장 꾸며 내기 어려운 부분입니다. 치료 후 사진을 잇몸선을 따라 살펴보세요. 치아마다 고르게 이어지는 물결 모양의 잇몸 윤곽, 그리고 새 치아가 잇몸 위에 얹혀 있지 않고 자연 치아처럼 잇몸에서 솟아 나오는 모습을 보시면 됩니다. 이렇게 잇몸에서 솟아 나오는 모양은 진료 의자에서 즉석으로 정하지 않고, 수술 전에 3D 촬영 영상으로 미리 계획합니다.

미소선과 비율을 확인하세요

자연스러운 미소는 아랫입술을 대략 따라가는 완만한 곡선을 그리고, 앞니는 익숙한 가로세로 비율을 유지합니다. 전후 사진마다 이 두 가지를 기준으로 비교해 보세요. 결과가 자연스러워 보이는데 왜 그런지 설명하기 어렵다면, 대개 비율 때문입니다. 사람의 눈은 비율을 보고 진짜라고 느낍니다.

한 가지 더 알아 두시면 좋습니다. 이 페이지의 전후 사진은 모두 일부러 같은 방식으로 찍었습니다. 비슷한 구도와 비슷한 조명으로 찍었고, 치과 치료 부분은 전혀 보정하지 않았습니다. 캘리포니아 법은 전후 사진을 비교할 수 있는 같은 조건으로 보여 주도록 요구합니다. 법이 요구하지 않더라도 저희는 이 기준을 지킬 것입니다. 보기 좋은 조명이 있어야만 좋아 보이는 결과는 결과라고 할 수 없기 때문입니다.

이 가운데 기성품으로 만든 미소는 하나도 없습니다. 모두 무료 3D CBCT 촬영(치과용 3차원 CT)에서 시작해 임플란트 위치, 씹는 힘, 뼈의 지지를 계산한 공학적 계획이 되었고, 그다음 저희 기공실에서 실제 형태를 갖췄습니다. 그곳에서는 밀도가 매우 높은 지르코니아를 진료실에서 몇 걸음 떨어진 자리에서 깎고 마무리합니다.

I recently had my 2 implant treatment here and I’m very happy with the results. Dr. Jain and Dr. Gupta are very experienced and explained everything clearly, which made me feel comfortable throughout the treatment. I was also really impressed that they have an in-house lab, so everything is done under one roof. A friend recommended this place to me, and I’m glad I came here. Everyone was welcoming and professional, and overall I had a very good experience. Definitely recommend!

I had been hiding my smile for a long time. Eating was difficult, smiling in photos felt uncomfortable, and little by little it started affecting my confidence in ways I did not even realize.
